if you type a forum post or post a suggestion in the form then make it posible to edit your excisting post incase you make a mistake, typo , forget to add something to the post or to update the post.

Your own posts have "edit" and "delete" in the header, on the right next to the timestamp. They only appear on posts you wrote.

A few details worth knowing:

Editing marks the post "edited <when>" so a conversation stays honest, and it deliberately does NOT bump the thread — revising an old post won't shove it back to the top of the board.

If you started the thread, editing your first post also lets you fix the title. That is the case that prompted this, so it seemed worth including.

Deleting a reply removes just that reply. Deleting your FIRST post removes the whole thread and every reply in it, since the thread cannot exist without its opening post — the confirmation box says so before you commit.

This works the same on suggestions, because a suggestion IS a forum thread.
