Five of the six confirmed and fixed. The sixth is not a defect, and I want to be straight about which is which.
FIXED — Santa Cat's Gift Preparation (Blue Gift Box), Cassandra's Maple Scarf (Small Stories), Cassandra's True Feelings?! (Lucky White Monkey Doll), The Girl's Old Iron Sword (Ragged Steel Sword), Thief School Admission Letter (Dark Lord Stamp).
All five are the same shape. v83's quest data mentions each of those items exactly ONCE — the line that takes it off you at hand-in. Nothing in the entire game grants them: no quest, no prerequisite chain, no box, and zero rows in any drop, shop or reactor table across all ten of the private-server dumps we reference. They were GMS seasonal global drops — Christmas 2008, October/November 2008, June 2007, February 2007 — where every monster in the world dropped them during the event window, and those windows lived on Nexon's servers and were never dumped anywhere.
That is exactly the case the event-drop mechanic already covers for 118 other quests: while you have the quest accepted and still need the item, any monster can drop it, at a rate scaled to how many the quest asks for. These five are now on it. Take the quest first — the drop only turns on while it is open and unmet.
NOT A DEFECT — Rowen's Token of Love (Soft Feather). This one already drops, and widely: 31 different monsters carry it at 20%, with no quest gate at all, and I counted 1,141 live spawn points for those monsters across the shipped maps. Ice Valley in El Nath, the Ludibrium toy factory maps and Mu Lung are three of the denser ones. If you hunt any of those and still see nothing after a hundred kills, please reopen — at that point it is a real bug and I want it.
